IRVINE, Calif. – Harvard men's water polo's Jack Burghardt has been named to the 2025 Cutino Award Watch List, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC), USA Water Polo, and The Olympic Club announced today.
Burghardt is one of 20 athletes named to the list and earns the recognition for the first time in his career. The Peter J. Cutino Award, named for the late Hall of Fame coach, honors the best men's and women's collegiate water polo player each season. Established in 2022 to increase awareness of the college game and its top athletes, the award is presented annually at the conclusion of the women's season.
A force throughout his three years in Cambridge, Burghardt earned his first NWPC All-Conference honor last season with a spot on the second team. The junior also landed on the ACWPC Honorable Mention list for the first time in his career after recording 54 goals and 29 assists in 2024.
