CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A two-goal effort in Harvard women's soccer's crucial win over Princeton netted junior forward, Ólöf Kristinsdóttir, the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week award. An Iceland native, Kristinsdóttir recorded her second career brace to win her first Ivy League weekly honor. The striker scored her second and third goals of the season against the Tigers to take a hold of the team lead heading into the bulk of the Crimson's Ivy League season.
 
Kristinsdóttir put on a goal-scoring show in the win over the Tigers to help the Crimson pick up critical points in the Ivy League standings. She scored her first goal 16' into the contest after Audrey Francois completed a run into the Princeton half of the field before firing a crossing pass into the 18. Elsa Santos López tipped the cross over to her striker who knocked it into the back of the net to put the Crimson up, 1-0. Her second goal of the day came from the penalty stripe at the 60' mark, which sealed the 2-0 win for Harvard.  
 
Now the Crimson's active career points leader, Kristinsdóttir became the second weekly award winner for the Harvard this season. She joins classmate, Anna Rayhill. Who also captured the Offensive Player of the Week award after a notching a goal and an assist in two games against Boston University and New Hampshire.
 
The Crimson recently wrapped up a seven game home stand that ran through the entire month of September. After securing three points against the Tigers, Harvard will now take its first road trip since August when it travels to upstate New York to battle the Cornell Big Red. The teams will square off in Ithaca this Saturday (Oct. 4) at 12:00 PM with all the action streaming live on ESPN+.
