Women’s Basketball Begins the Ivy Slate at Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (7-6) will begin its quest for an Ivy League title this Saturday, January 3 as it faces off against Dartmouth (9-4).  Tip-off on the first weekend of the Ivy League schedule is set for 2:00 p.m. ET inside Leede Arena in Hanover, N.H. 

What to Know

  • The Crimson's 2025-26 season is comprised of 13 nonconference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate.  Harvard played nine of its nonconference games in November and eight of them took place outside Cambridge, Mass.
  • Overall, the Crimson went 4-5 in the first month of action.  Harvard has faced a stacked schedule so far, having faced five power conference opponents including Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
  • The Crimson concluded the non-conference slate 7-6 capped off with a 70-63 win against Delaware. 
  • Against the Blue Hens, Saniyah Glenn-Bello led all scorers with a career-high 20 points.  Katie Krupa (16), Karlee White (13), and Abigail Wright (11) each also reached double figures as the Crimson had four with over 10 points for the fifth time this season. 
  • Glenn-Bello is having a career-season in her final year by averaging 11.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks.  The senior has reached double figures in each of the last nine games after having not done so through the first four. 
  • Overall, Wright is also putting up career numbers and ranks fifth in scoring (14.8) and sixth in rebounds (6.8) in the Ivy League.  Nationally, the Massachusetts native ranks as the 11th best offensive rebounder by averaging 4.3 per game. 
  • Glenn-Bello and Krupa are providing on either end of the court as they both rank inside the top 15 for assists and the top five for blocks in the conference. 
  • Prior to the conclusion of the non-conference season White made her return against the Maine Black Bears after being out for nearly a month.  Prior to the injury she was having a breakout season by averaging 14.2 points on 58.0% shooting and 1.7 steals.  White is returning to form and recorded her sixth game in double figures against the Blue Hens. 
  • Prior to the season, the Crimson elected juniors, White and Wright as captains of the 2025-26 Harvard women's basketball team. 
  • To open the year, Carrie Moore, the Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach for Harvard Women's Basketball; The Ragatz Family Harvard Coach of Excellence, was named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award.  Moore was one of five finalists for the award last season. 
  • In the first NET Rankings of the 2025-26 season, Harvard checked in at 68.  The Crimson currently checks in at 82 and has the third-best NET in the Ivy League, trailing only Columbia at 59 and Princeton at 38. 
  • The Crimson was picked to finish third in the Ivy league Preseason Poll, receiving 126 points, including one first-place vote.  Harvard trailed only Princeton (163) and Columbia (147). 
  • Harvard maintains a strong 59-36 lead in the all-time series versus the Big Green. 
  • The Crimson has dominated the series as of late having won the last nine meetings. 
  • In the last 15 years, Harvard is 24-6 against the Big Green.
  • Most recently, Harvard defeated Dartmouth, 74-40, in the final game of the 2024-25 regular season.

The Crimson will welcome Columbia to Lavietes Pavilion on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. ET for a rematch of last seasons Ivy League Tournament Championship game.
