CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Harvard women's basketball (9-8, 2-2 Ivy) will conclude its three-game road stretch this weekend as it heads to Ithaca, N.Y. to face Cornell (7-10, 2-2 Ivy) on Saturday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The Last Time Out
- In its last time out the Crimson went 1-1 during its Penn/Princeton road trip. Harvard opened the long weekend by defeating the Quakers 53-42.
- Abigail Wright paced the Crimson's offense by tallying her second career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The junior captain also added three assists, two steals, and a block in the contest.
- Karlee White and Saniyah Glenn-Bello each added 11 points to join Wright in double figures.
- Harvard's defense fueled the win as it held the Quakers under 30% shooting from the field and forced 16 turnovers.
- Harvard held the Quakers to just two points in the second quarter and followed it up by scoring 22 points in the third quarter.
- After a day's rest the Crimson then pushed No. 20 Princeton to the wire but ultimately fell in overtime, 82-79.
- White had a career-night against the Tigers as she recorded her first career double-double with 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting and 10 boards.
- Glenn-Bello scored in double figures for the 12th time in the last 13 games with 16 points against the Tigers.
- In her second career start, Olivia Jones provided a spark for the Crimson and matched her career-best for scoring with 11 points.
Stepping into a Leading Role
- Abigail Wright and Karlee White have smoothly transitioned into leading roles this season. The juniors are the top scorers for the Crimson and are each averaging career highs at 14.9 and 13.1 points per game, respectively. The totals rank inside the top 10 in the Ivy League.
- Wright is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging 7.1 per game to rank fourth in the Ivy League. More specifically, the junior forward attacks the offensive glass and is currently the 10th-best offensive rebounder in the nation with her 4.1 per game average.
- Not only is White averaging a career-high but she is also doing so at an incredibly efficient rate, shooting 51.9% from the field. The percentage ranks as the fifth best in the conference.
- Before being sidelined with an injury, the junior guard began the year by scoring in double figures in five of the first six games, matching her entire total of double figure games from her first two seasons. Since returning, White has added four more double figure games to her career total.
- The junior pair was elected as team captains for the Harvard women's basketball team prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.
Stuffing the Stat Sheet
- Saniyah Glenn-Bello has consistently provided a presence all over the court during her senior season.
- Glenn-Bello is averaging a career-high in nearly every statistical category by averaging 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.
- After not scoring in double figures in the first four games, Glenn-Bello has now done so in 12 of the last 13 games.
Spreading the Love
- The Crimson has had six games with four players in double figure scoring through 17 games in 2025-26. Harvard did not have four players in double figures in a single game last season.
- Overall, Abigail Wright (14.9), Karlee White (13.1), and Saniyah Glenn-Bello (11.2) are each averaging in the double digits for the Crimson.
First Impressions
- Olivia Jones has made a name for herself in the league already, having been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week a league-best three times.
- The first-year received the honor on November 10, December 8, January 6, and most recently on January 20.
- Jones was named Rookie of the Week after making her first two career starts and averaging 8.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists against Penn and Princeton.
The Season at a Glance
- The Crimson's season is comprised of 13 non-conference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate.
- The Crimson played five power conference opponents in the first month of action including No. 13 Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
- Harvard competed at two prominent tournaments in November, the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational hosted by the University of California and the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, The Bahamas.
- Harvard plays Columbia, Yale, and Brown in Lavietes Pavilion during the first half of the Ivy season followed by Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, and Princeton during the month of February.
Harvard-Cornell History
- The Crimson has a dominant 77-13 lead in the all-time series against the Big Red.
- Additionally, the Crimson has a seven-game winning streak over Cornell.
- Most recently, Harvard dominated in Ithaca, beating the Big Red by nearly 40 points last February.
