NEW YORK, N.Y. – Four Harvard men's and women's squash student-athletes are moving on to the final eight and will compete in the quarterfinals of the CSA National Championships after advancing through Saturday's Round of 16. Omar Azzam will represent the men's team in the final eight after pulling off the tournament's biggest upset, dropping the No. 1 seeded Tad Carney from Yale. In the Ramsay Cup draw, Caroline Fouts, Lucie Stefanoni and Saran Nghiem all advanced with victories on Saturday.
 

Tournament Updates

• Omar Azzam posted the biggest upset of the tournament so far, defeating the No. 1 seeded Tad Carney from Yale, 3-0, in a dominant showing.
• Azzam will take on Trinity's [21-14] Low Wa-Sern in the quarterfinal for a spot in the semifinals.
• Lucie Stefanoni posted another dominant win in her round of 16 match in the Ramsay Cup draw, posting a 3-0 win.
• Caroline Fouts and Saran Nghiem both won 3-1 in their matchups, setting up a head-to-head matchup between the Crimson teammates in the quarterfinal round.
• Harvard is now guaranteed at least one spot in the semifinal, with Fouts or Nghiem advancing after tomorrow's showdown.
• In the men's consolation pool, Maddox Moxham defeated his Crimson classmate, Christian Capella, in a thrilling 3-2 victory. Moxham came back from a 0-2 hole to win 3-2 and advance. Moxham put up a fight in his next match, but eventually fell, 1-3.
