Men’s Swimming and Diving Returns from Holiday Break to Play Host to Brown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving returns from its holiday break on Saturday, Jan. 10, and will play host to Brown at Blodgett Pool. The action is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET, with the Ivy League meet set to air live on ESPN+.

What to Know

  • Harvard has not competed since Dec. 4-6, when it appeared at the Minnesota Invitational. The Crimson earned 1,284 points and finished behind No. 6 California (2,332.50) and Minnesota (1,341.50). Denver (1,096) and UNLV (472) also took part in the festivities.
  • Harvard posted its first NCAA qualifying times of the 2025-26 campaign on Day 3 of the Minnesota Invitational. First-years William Mulgrew and Pablo Martinez hit the national standard in the 1,650 free. Mulgrew came in third place with a time of 14:53.09, which was the fifth-best time in school history, and Martinez was sixth overall after completing the race in 15:06.11. Team tri-captain David Schmitt also earned an NCAA qualifying time in the 200 fly, finishing that event in 1:43.31, which was good for third place.
  • The Crimson takes a 4-0 record (3-0 Ivy) into its home meet with Brown, which is 2-3 on the season and 1-3 in the Ivy League. The Bears have had a run of success leading into the first meet of 2026. Brown won the seven-team Bucknell Invitational (Nov. 21-23) and beat Bryant, 208-87, on Dec. 6, before pausing for finals and the holidays.
  • Harvard enters the Brown meet having won 90 of the 92 all-time head-to-head meetings. The Crimson has won 30 consecutive contests vs. the Bears.
