Track & Field Concludes Opening Day of Riverhawk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – Harvard track & field opened its weekend at the Riverhawk Invitational on a high note, as four Crimson picked up wins at the TRACK at new balance this afternoon.

HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Harvard's time at the Riverhawk Invitational started with impressive showings on the straightaway, as four Crimson advanced to finals in the women's 60 hurdles and the women's 60m.
  • Senior Fabiola Belibi earned her fourth win of the season in the women's 60 hurdles, doing so with a time of 8.30. Sophomore Abigail Dennis finished in second place after clocking an 8.49.
  • The women's 60m saw junior Mickaila Haisley finish in second place with a time of 7.54. In the prelims, Haisley ran a personal-best 7.53, a mark that ranks 10th all-time in program history. Sophomore Ella Cooper followed right behind Haisley, finishing in third with a time of 7.60.
  • One of the Crimson's team captains this season, senior Jacklynn Okereke won the women's 400m invite, as the Evanston, Illinois native finished in first with a personal-best 55.48.
  • Sophomore Kaelin Creagh ran a 1:15.13 to finish in third place in the women's 500m.
  • Over in the women's pole vault, junior Lilly Hodge earned the win after matching her season-best mark of 4.10m (13'5.25") from the HBCU & Ivy Challenge.
  • Harvard's day concluded with the women's 200m, as the Crimson went one-two-three in the event. Cooper shined in the event, finishing in first place with a personal-best 23.69, a mark that ranks fourth all-time in school history. Haisley finished in second place with a time of 24.36, another personal-best, as Dennis took third with a personal-best 24.51.
