What to Know

  • Twelve months ago, Harvard competed the Duplin and Friis Trophies, and finished in third place at both regattas. The Crimson was third of nine at the Tufts regatta and third of 10 at the Friis Trophy, which was held at U.S. Coast Guard (New London, Conn.).
  • Harvard returns six of seven sailors who appeared at the Duplin Trophy. Peyton Hadfield served as crew for the Crimson's top boat, with Kate Danielson-Amelie Zucker and Zoey Ziskind-Katherine Shin/Theresa Straw rounding out its lineup.
  • Back this season from last year's Friis Trophy performance are skippers Justin Callahan, Mitchell Callahan and Robby Meek, and three of five crew members in Christina Chen, Rosella Irfan and Aidan Pesce.
  • Harvard is coming off a weekend that saw it win the Graham Hall Trophy Team Race and CofC Women's Team Race.
  • The Crimson went 21-2 at the Graham Hall Trophy Team Race in Annapolis, Maryland. Harvard was represented by Meek-Jacob Posner, Mitchell Callahan-Pesce, and Justin Callahan-Irfan/Chen/Xavier Ayala-Vermont.
  • Harvard had a dominant showing at the CofC Women's Team Race, posting an impressive 14-2 record across two days of action. Ziskind-Hadfield, Danielson-Zucker, and Sophia Montgomery-JJ Drummond/Shin competed for the Crimson.
  • With the Crimson's two team regatta victories last weekend, Harvard has now emerged victorious 11 times in 2025-26. This spring alone, the Crimson has four wins and has not finished outside the top five at any event.
  • In the latest Sail1Design Team Rankings released on March 2, Harvard is No. 1 in the coed poll and No. 5 in the women's top-16.

Up Next

Harvard will send a group south to the Brown-hosted Dellenbaugh Trophy Women's Team Race, while another group stays home to compete at the Marchiando Trophy Team Race (MIT host). Both regattas are scheduled for March 28-29.
