CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving first-year
William Mulgrew has been named to the 2026 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association NCAA Division I All-America Second Team, the CSCAA announced today. The Walpole native was recognized for his performance in the 1,650 freestyle at the NCAA Championships.
Mulgrew finished in ninth place in the 1,650 free last Wednesday at the NCAA meet in Atlanta, Georgia. The Ivy League champion posted a time of 14:40.07 and became the Crimson's first All-American since 2022 (Dean Farris - 100 back, Umitcan Gures - 100 fly).
The first-year's national-meet showing helped the Crimson earn nine points, helping it finish in the final team standings for the first time since 2022. Harvard's appearance at the NCAA Championships capped a 2025-26 campaign that saw it post an 8-1 dual-meet record, which included a 6-1 record against Ivy League competition.
