CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 13 women's water polo will host Siena University and the Virginia Military Institute on Sunday to close out its 2026 home schedule at Blodgett Pool.
The women's program will play its first-ever game on linear TV on Sunday when it hosts Siena at 10:00 a.m. on NESN before finishing the day against VMI at 3:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
The last of nine home games this season, Harvard looks to finish its home schedule with a perfect 9-0 record. The Crimson will then play its next eight games on the road as it heads into the CWPA Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Maya O'Dea was named CWPA Player of the Week, while Petra Klemm earned CWPA Rookie of the Week honors after the pair delivered dominant performances at the Harvard Invite.
- O'Dea finished the weekend with 12 goals and seven assists, highlighted by a four-goal, four-assist outing against Villanova.
- Klemm continued her dominant rookie campaign with nine goals and two assists over the weekend.
- Harvard went a perfect 4-0 at the Harvard Invite, outscoring its opponents by a combined margin of 61-25.
- The Crimson picked up a 19-7 win against Villanova and a 22-5 victory over UC Merced on Saturday. The biggest win of the weekend came against No. 14 Princeton, as Harvard topped its rival 8-5 on Sunday morning before closing the weekend with a 14-8 win over Marist.
- Against the Tigers, Harvard jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter with goals from Maya O'Dea, Petra Klemm, and Emma Gilbert.
- The Crimson followed with three more goals in the second quarter, as O'Dea completed her first-half hat trick with two additional scores while Lucy Berkman added another. Petra Klemm and Niki Piovan added the daggers as Harvard secured a key conference win over a division rival.
- Harvard is set to play Siena for the first time since 2019 and at home for the first time since 2016.
- The Crimson has won 12 straight games against the Saints.
- Harvard and VMI have faced off three times since 2014, with the Crimson winning all three matchups.
- The last meeting between the two came in 2022, when Harvard defeated the Keydets 21-5 at the Princeton Invitational.
