NEW ORLEANS – Top-ranked Harvard Sailing completed first-day action at the 2026 ICSA Open Team Race National Championship with a perfect 11-0 mark on Lake Pontchartrain. Thursday ended with the Crimson up two in the loss column on second-place Stanford (10-2), with Brown (8-3), Navy (7-3) and College of Charleston (7-4) following close behind.

Five of the group's first seven races were decided by 1-2-3 finishes. Harvard won by that margin in outings vs. Dartmouth, Northwestern, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Roger Williams. Interspersed between those five decisions was a 2-3-4 performance vs. Georgetown and a 1-2-6 showing against College of Charleston.
After scoring a massive victory over RWU, moving its to 7-0, the Crimson posted 1-2-3 wins over U.S. Coast Guard and Boston College before ending its day with a 2-3-4 vs. Brown and a 1-2-5 vs. St. Mary's College of Maryland.
When the action resumes on Friday, Harvard will face Stanford, Tulane, Penn and Navy to close out Round-1 competition. The
