EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – After completing a historic career in Cambridge, Harvard men's lacrosse standout, Teddy Malone, has inked his first pro contract. The attackman signed a contract with the Carolina Chaos after being claimed off waivers by the club ahead of the league's opening weekend. A Delaware native, Malone racked up 161 career points in four seasons with the Crimson, the 12^th most in a career in HLX history.  
 
Malone becomes the fifth player in the Byrne era to join a PLL squad. The attackman will join his former teammate Ray Dearth '25 on the Chaos, when he reports to the club this week in Salt Lake City for opening weekend. Next weekend, Malone and Dearth will take on the Boston Cannons and another former teammate in Logan Ip '26, who was drafted by the Cannons in the third round of the 2026 PLL College Draft. Sam King '25 of the Utah Archers rounds out the Crimson's representation in the PLL this season. The Chaos and the Archers will meet during the Chaos' homecoming weekend in Charlotte on June 5.

A talented scorer, Malone was a consistent threat in the offensive end for Harvard during his time in Cambridge. The Haverford School product ended his career on a 30-game goal scoring streak and a 42-game point-scoring streak. Malone tallied a point in all but two games of his 53-game college career. A Second Team All-Ivy League selection in 2026, Malone will graduate from Harvard with 112 goals, the seventh-most in program history.
 
The quartet of Pro Crimson will make their homecoming to Harvard during the Boston Cannons' homecoming weekend on August 7-8. The weekend will be hosted by the PLL at Harvard Stadium and will see Logan Ip and the Cannons play two games on Friday and Saturday. King's Archers will take on Malone and Dearth's Chaos as well on Friday night in the stadium. Tickets for the event are on sale now at premierlacrosseleague.com.
