CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Basketball has earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award while six members of the Crimson have gained spots on the NABC Honors Court in recognition of academic excellence during the 2025-26 school year, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Wednesday.
The Crimson captured the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the 12
th straight season, marking the longest active streak among Division I schools.
"As a program, we are incredibly proud of the work that our 'Scholars & Ballers' have done in the classroom,"
Tommy Amaker, The Thomas G. Stemberg '71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Basketball, said. "This recognition demonstrates our program's commitment to an academic standard that our players have upheld for over a decade. This continuity and tradition of academic excellence has become a hallmark of our program's culture, and we will continue to pass it down to the next generation of Harvard Basketball."

Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26.
To be eligible for the NABC Team Academic Award, a team must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. All men's basketball players listed on the varsity roster during the season must be included in the team GPA calculation. All four-year and two-year colleges with at least one active NABC member on staff are eligible. The award first began with the 2012-13 season.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes players who were academically a junior, senior, or graduate student during the 2025-26 academic year. To be eligible, players must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year and must have been a member of the varsity roster in 2025-26. Players from four-year colleges with at least one active NABC member on staff are eligible.
