Sarah Edney earned a spot on the ECAC All-Rookie squad (Gil Talbot).

ITHACA, N.Y. – Four members of the No. 8 Harvard women's hockey team received All-ECAC nods, the league announced at its annual award banquet Thursday night at the Statler Hotel. Harvard placed one player on the all-league first, second and third teams, as well as a player on the all-rookie squad.  

Jillian Dempsey earned All-ECAC first team honors for the first time in her career, after earning second-team honors as a sophomore and all-rookie accolades as a freshman. Dempsey was tied for the league lead in goals scored (16), power play goals (5), and shorthanded points (1-1-2). She ranked fourth in the league in scoring and third in points-per-game at 1.50. She was a three-time ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Month in the final month of the regular season.

Fellow junior Josephine Pucci earned a second-team nod, repeating her showing from her sophomore year. Pucci, an assistant captain on the 2011-12 squad, ranked second in the ECAC with 10 power-play points on three goals and seven assists. She also ranked tied for eighth among league blueliners in scoring with 4-10-14 points in ECAC action this year. She led Harvard to seven conference shutouts this season and also helped the Crimson penalty-kill unit kill 91.3 percent of opponent power-plays.

Sophomore Lyndsey Fry picked up the first All-ECAC nod of her career, earning a spot on the third team. A strong finish to the season saw Fry climb into a tie for fifth in the league in scoring, collecting 15-14-29 points in 21 league games. Her 15 league goals were tied for the second-highest total in the conference, and she was tied for first with 1-1-2 shorthanded points. Fry capped her regular season with a four-goal performance in a 4-0 blanking of Yale.

Freshman defenseman Sarah Edney rounded out the Harvard honorees with a selection to the ECAC All-Rookie team. Edney was tied for 11th in league defenseman scoring with 5-8-13 points, and was tied for eighth in scoring among league rookies.  

Harvard takes on No. 10 St. Lawrence in the ECAC semifinals Friday at 7 p.m., at Cornell's Lynah Rink.
