CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Ice Hockey Laura Bellamy '13 announced Zoe Boosamra (Montreal, Que.), Gwyn Lapp (Andover, Mass.) and Kaley MacDonald (Walpole, Mass.) as captains of the Crimson for the 2026-27 season. All three captains are rising seniors with Boosamra returning to captain Harvard for the second year in a row.

Boosamra was named All-Ivy Honorable Mention as a junior and totaled 14 points on seven goals and seven assists. Lapp, a fellow forward, tallied 10 points on a goal and nine assists after missing most of the 2024-25 season due to injury. MacDonald, a defenseman, skated in all 34 games last season with eight point on three goals and five assists. Additionally, MacDonald posted a +7 plus-minus, which was second best on the team, and a team-leading 81 blocks, which was second in all of ECAC.

In 2025-26, Harvard went 16-15-2; posting the best turnaround in the NCAA at +14 in the win column from a year prior. The Crimson won the 2026 Beanpot, reached the championship game of the Friendship Four in Belfast, Northern Ireland and pushed two-seed Princeton to a third game in the ECAC Championship Quarterfinals to end Harvard's first two-win postseason since 2020.
