WATCH: 2026 Baseball Season Recap

Following a competitive non-conference slate to open the year, the Crimson continued to grow behind a mix of veteran leadership and emerging young talent, gaining valuable experience against strong opponents away from O'Donnell Field.

Throughout the season, senior captain Gio Colasante once again proved to be one of the top two-way players in the Ivy League. Whether making an impact at the plate or taking the mound for the Crimson, Colasante served as a steady presence and leader for Harvard.

Junior shortstop Jack Rickheim also put together a standout campaign, anchoring the lineup with consistent production, power, and leadership up the middle. Rickheim and Colasante both earned unanimous All-Ivy First Team selections for their impressive 2026 seasons.

After returning from its non-conference slate, the Crimson opened the 2026 home schedule with a walk-off win against Brown, as a sacrifice fly from Tyler Shulman gave Harvard its first victory at O'Donnell Field.

Later in the season, in its biggest offensive outburst of the season, the Crimson defeated UMass, 17-12, in the Beanpot third-place game behind a combined 10 RBIs from Jordan Kang, Max Lane, and Gavin Smith.

In its final series of the regular season, Harvard traveled to Princeton and delivered a dominant three-game sweep of the Tigers. The Crimson offense came alive throughout the weekend, totaling 28 runs and 38 hits while receiving contributions from throughout the lineup to close the season with three consecutive victories.

Behind its late-season momentum, All-Ivy performances, and continued development throughout the roster, the Crimson closed the 2026 season with plenty to build on. With a strong foundation in place and valuable experience gained, Harvard now looks ahead to the promise of the 2027 season.
