CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Freshman Conor Morrison became the first Crimson player in more than a decade to tally four goals, but Boston University scored with 19.5 seconds remaining in regulation and again at 2:42 of overtime to defeat the Harvard men's hockey team, 6-5, Tuesday night at sold-out Bright Hockey Center.

Chris Connolly scored the overtime winner for the Terriers (4-7-1) from the left slot after getting the puck from Nick Bonino. Zach Cohen netted the tying goal, banging in a deflected shot from David Warsofsky at the right post, less than a minute after Morrison's fourth goal put Harvard (1-5-2) on top. Cohen and Joe Pereira scored twice each for BU, which went 3 for 5 on the power play and held a 49-26 edge shots. Kieran Millan had 21 saves for the Terriers.

Kyle Richter made a career-high 43 saves for the Crimson, and Alex Killorn scored his fifth goal. Morrison, who entered the game with one career goal, had the Crimson's first four-goal outing since Chris Bala '01 against Vermont on March 6, 1998. Daniel Moriarty logged a pair of assists for Harvard.

The back-and-forth opening period featured two goals and 11 shots by each team. Both BU goals came on the power play, with Joe Pereira netting the first on the rebound of a Max Nicastro point shot about four minutes into the game.

Harvard then scored two unassisted goals less than four minutes apart. Morrison's came after he grabbed a loose puck in front. Killorn picked up a puck in the neutral zone and backhanded a shot that deflected off of Millan's blocker and into the goal. The Terriers tied it up with a Cohen deflection of a Warsofsky point shot during a five-minute power play.

The teams remained tied after another Pereira power-play goal and another even-strength tally for Morrison in the second period. The rookie put Harvard on top at the 2:37 mark of the second, skating in from the right to backhand in the second rebound following a shot from Chris Huxley on the point and another from Moriarty in front. Pereira scored on a rebound of his own, at 6:54, after Chris Connolly tipped a Kevin Shattenkirk point shot.

Harvard twice took the lead on Morrison goals in the third period, only to see the Terriers knot the score each time. Morrison completed his first hat trick five minutes into the frame, taking a long outlet pass from Alex Biega, looping through the zone and beating Millan with a backhander.

A would-be Louis Leblanc goal was wiped off the board for being directed in with a skate and Bonino tied it at 13:51. The Crimson looked to be in control after Leblanc and Moriarty dug the puck out of the right corner and Morrison was there for the finish with 1:18 showing on the clock. BU, however, pulled Millan for an extra attacker to tie the game and had three of the four shots in overtime en route to the sudden victory.
