HANOVER, N.H. -- The fifth-ranked Harvard men's squash team earned its second Ivy League win of the season, topping No. 8 Dartmouth, 6-3, Wednesday evening.  Harvard also moved to 3-0 overall with the victory.

With the teams using a three-court system, the Big Green grabbed a 2-1 lead after the first three matches, as Dartmouth won at No. 3 and No. 6.  Zeke Scherl fell to Robert Maycock at the No. 3 spot, 3-1 (11-7, 10-12, 11-5, 11-9) and Franklin Cohen dropped a 3-1 decision at the No. 6 to Michael Lewis (11-9, 11-9, 13-15, 11-8).  The Crimson picked up a win at the No. 9, as Alexander Ma overpowered Daniel Wagman in three straight games (11-5, 11-9, 11-7).

Harvard then won the next three matches at No. 2, 5 and 8 to take a 4-2 lead.  At the No. 2 position, Richard Hill earned a hard-fought victory against Nicholas Sisodia. Hill won game one, 11-6, but dropped the next two by 11-7 margins. He responded with an 11-8 victory in game four and then clinched the match by taking the fifth game, 11-6. At the No. 5, Jason Michas topped Luke Lee in straight sets.  Michas outlasted Lee, 17-15, in the first game, before taking the next two 11-8 and 11-3. The Crimson also won at No. 8, as William Ahmed defeated Stephen Wetherill, 3-2. Ahmed claimed the first two games, 11-8 and 11-3, but dropped the next two, 5-11 and 6-11. In the fifth and decisive game, Ahmed collected an 11-9 victory to take the match.

In other action, Alex Lavoie was downed, 3-0, at the No. 7 position by Brian O'Toole (11-8, 11-4, 11-5), making the overall match score, 4-3, in favor of the Crimson.  At the No. 4, J. Reed Endresen clinched the match for Harvard, as he topped Michael Shrubb, 11-6, 11-9, 11-3.  Colin West improved to 3-0 on the season at the No. 1 slot, as he downed Christopher Hanson in three straight games (11-9, 11-3, 11-4).  The Crimson had lost to Dartmouth, 5-4, during the Ivy scrimmages in November, but picked up the key regular-season victory against its Ivy League rival.

Up next, Harvard will host No. 6 Cornell Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Barnaby Courts.
