CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Three members of the fourth-ranked Harvard women's hockey team have been named to the All-ECAC Hockey Team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon. Junior forward Kate Buesser was honored on the first team, while junior defender Leanna Coskren garnered third-team honors. Freshman forward Jillian Dempsey rounded out the group, as she was tabbed to the All-ECAC Hockey Rookie team.

Buesser, a nominee for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, ranked second in ECAC Hockey play with 32 points, scoring 12 goals and adding 20 assists in 22 conference games. The two-time ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, who participated as an ECAC Hockey All-Star, set a career-high in scoring this season, amassing 35 points (13-22-35) in all games, which leads the Crimson. A native of Wolfeboro, N.H., Buesser ranks 20th in the nation with 1.21 points per game, while standing 16th in assists (0.76 per game). A two-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic team choice in her career, Buesser paces Harvard with a +22 rating.

Coskren, who hails from Walpole, Mass., is also a nominee for the Patty Kazmaier Award and has been a key member of the Harvard power-play unit this season. She has scored six goals and handed out 11 assists for 17 points from the blue line. She has tallied three game-winning goals and is 18th in the country among defenders with 0.59 points per contest.

In ECAC Hockey games, Coskren tied for first in the league with 11 power-play points (4-7-11) and was tied for seventh with four power-play goals. She was fourth among defenders in the conference with 16 points (6-10-16) in ECAC Hockey action. Defensively, Coskren, a two-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic pick, has helped Harvard rank third in the nation in scoring defense, allowing only 1.48 goals per game.

Dempsey is enjoying a stellar rookie season as she stands second on the Crimson with 23 points, having scored 10 goals and assisted on 13 other tallies. A two-time ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, Dempsey, who has netted Harvard's only shorthanded goal this season, ranks eighth among the nation's freshmen with 0.79 points per game.

A native of Winthrop, Mass., Dempsey was eighth in ECAC Hockey play with 21 points (10-11-21) and eighth with 10 goals. Her 21 points in league play ranked her second among the league's rookies.

Harvard, the No. 3 seed in the upcoming ECAC Hockey tournament, will host Princeton in a best-of-three series at Bright Hockey Center, Feb. 26-28.
