The Particulars
The Crimson hosts No. 6 Princeton on Senior Day at Harvard Stadium Saturday afternoon.

With two games remaining in the regular season, Harvard stands at 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the Ancient Eight, while the fifth-ranked Tigers sport a 9-2 overall mark and 4-0 record in Ivy League play.  The Crimson is mathematically alive to reach the inaugural Ivy League Tournament, but will most likely need to win its final two games.

Senior Day
Prior to Saturday's game, Harvard's seven seniors  will be honored during a ceremony in Harvard Stadium.  Co-captains Travis Burr and Billy Geist, as well as Dave Dobrosky, Jason Duboe, Jesse Fehr, Sam Michel and Ben Smith have helped Harvard win 24 games during their time in Cambridge.

New England Lacrosse Day
Saturday's game will be held on New England Lacrosse Day.  All youth wearing team lacrosse jersey will be able to enter the game for free. There is also a post-game autograph session with the Harvard team.

Honoring Mike Davis '82
In March 2009, the Harvard lacrosse community lost Mike Davis, a captain of the 1982 lacrosse team.  Teammates of Mike, with the support of the Friends of Harvard Lacrosse, coaches, and the Harvard athletic department, have established an award in Mike's honor.

The Mike Davis '82 Award for Leadership will be presented to the outstanding leader of the Harvard men's varsity lacrosse team. In memory of Michael H. Davis '82, whose dedication, passion, toughness, and regard for his teammates left a lasting impression on those who played with him.

Remembering the 1980 and 1990 Harvard Men's Lacrosse Teams
At halftime of Saturday's game, Harvard will honor the 1980 and 1990 men's lacrosse teams, both of which won the Ivy League and reached the NCAA tournament.  Under head coach and current Nichols Family Director of Athletics Bob Scalise and then assistant coach Scott Anderson, the lacorsse program posted an 11-3 record and won the Ivy League for the first time in 16 years.  The team made Harvard's first-ever appearance in teh NCAA tournament and reached as high as No. 7 in the nation.

Under head coach Scott Anderson, the 1990 team also won the Ivy League and ended with a 12-3 overall record, tied for the second most wins in a season in Harvard history.  The Crimson defeated Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA tournament, marking the program's first NCAA tournament victory.

Series History
Harvard and Princeton have met 76 times on the lacrosse field, with the Tigers owning a 55-20-1 advantage in the series, which began in 1881.  The Crimson is hoping to end a 19-game win streak by the Tigers, dating back to the 1991 season.

Last Time Out
Jason Duboe scored three times in the first half, including a goal with one second remaining in the second quarter, but the Crimson fell at Penn by a score of 12-7 April 17.  Harry Krieger made 10 saves, while Dean Gibbons notched two goals and Peter Schwartz added a goal and an assist.

The Crimson boasts a 4-2 record when the team nets the game's first goal.  

Pacing The Ivy League
Dean Gibbons is third in the conference with 3.60 points per game, while Jeff Cohen ranks fourth in the Ancient Eight with 2.40 goals per game.  Harvard stands third with 11.00 goals per game and is second in man-up offense (18 of 41, .439).

Duboe Is All Class
Senior midfielder Jason Duboe is among 10 finalists for the prestigious Lowe's Senior CLASS Award for displaying both on-field and off-field excellence. Fans can vote for Duboe at SeniorCLASSAward.com.  To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, character, community and competition.

Ivy League Tournament Coming in 2010
Beginning this season, the Ivy League will hold four-team tournaments to decide the conference's automatic qualifying institutions to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships.  Each tournament will include the top four teams in Ivy League regular season round-robin competition and will be hosted by the round-robin winner.  

The winners of the Ivy League championship will continue to be determined by results of the conference's round-robin competitions during the regular season.

Scoring Streak
Jeff Cohen has earned at least one point in all 23 games during his career, dating back to his first game in a Crimson uniform last season.  During the scoring streak, which ranks tied for 14th longest in the nation, the sophomore attacker has amassed 58 goals and handed out 14 assists for 72 points, the most of any Harvard player during this stretch.

Defense Wins Games
Harvard is outscoring other teams in every quarter except the first (24-37).  The Crimson is outscoring opponents, 61-51, in the second half.

Strength Of Schedule
Seven of Harvard's 12 regular-season games are against schools ranked in this week's Nike/Inside Lacrosse Men's Division I poll.  The Crimson is currently 1-4 against ranked opponents after beating No. 18 Massachusetts, 14-13, March 13, and falling at No. 14 Georgetown, 13-12, March 3, No.17 Brown, 13-11, March 20, No. 7 Duke, 14-5, April 2 and No. 10 Cornell, 13-12, April 10.

Possession Is The Name Of The Game
Harvard has won 135-of-249 faceoffs (.542), with 62 of those victories credited to Andrew Parchman. The Crimson has collected a total of 268 ground balls and has been successful on 162-of-207 clear attempts (.783). Jeff Molinari paces the Crimson with 30 ground balls.  Harvard is 4-1 when it picks up more ground balls than opponents.

Crimson Among The Nation's Best
Entering the week, Harvard ranked 14th in the country in man-up offense (.439), 16th in faceoff win percentage (.542) and 17th in scoring offense (11.0 goals per game). Individually, Dean Gibbons stands 18th with 3.6 points per game, while Jeff Cohen is 22nd with 2.4 goals per contest.
