About Harvard
The Crimson split its Sunday-Monday series with Brown last
weekend. Harvard recovered from a poor-fielding day on Sunday with
impressive play on Monday as the Crimson swept the Bears.
Andrew
Ferreira was the Ivy Rookie of the Week last time out following
an impressive week as the freshman lefty posted a .125 opposing
batting average against. He no-hit Boston College for his first
five innings on Wednesday in the first round of the Beanpot and
then no-hit Brown for his first four innings on Monday. Against
Boston College, Ferreira struck out seven batters in the first five
innings before some tough luck went against him in the sixth
inning. Against Brown on Monday, he retired the first 12 batters he
faced while picking up his first career win with two strikeouts in
5.0 innings of one-hit relief.
Ferreira was joined on the Honor Roll by Jeff Reynolds, who
hit safely in five of his six games last week and was 9-for-10 in
his first three games. All told he hit .600 (6-10) with runners in
scoring position and .545 (6-11) with runners on base as he
recorded nine RBI and four extra base hits in the week. His best
game came against Northeastern as he was 5-for-5 with seven RBI and
two stolen bases.
Sam Franklin and Tyler Albright
have also caught fire of late. Albright has hit safely in eight
straight games and is 8-for-10 with 6 RBI in his last two games.
Franklin is 7-for-12 with 7 RBI and 5 runs scored in his last three
games.

Dartmouth last weekend and the Elis also dropped a 19-18 slugfest

The all-time series dates back to a July 25,
1869 tilt in Worcester, Mass., which the Crimson won by a 25-17
tally. The first game in New Haven between the perennial rivals was
a 24-22 Harvard win on July 4, 1870.
