The Particulars
Harvard finishes its 2010 Ivy League home schedule this weekend as
the Crimson takes on the Dartmouth Big Green for a twinbill
Saturday at O'Donnell Field.
Saturday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. with
the first game being a seven-inning contest and the second slated
for nine innings, per Ivy rules.

About Harvard
Despite being outscored, 39-24, the Crimson split a four game
series this week at Yale. Harvard stands at 8-8 in the Ivy League,
three games off the lead in the Red Rolfe Division with four
division games remaining.
Ultimately in order to win the division,
Harvard must sweep Dartmouth and Yale must take at least one of its
four games against Brown. Harvard and Dartmouth will close out the
series on Sunday in Hanover, N.H.
Sean O'Hara recorded
eight hits in the Yale series including two triples, three doubles
and nine RBI. O'Hara's biggest performance came in game one of
Wednesday's doubleheader where he went 3-for-5 with six RBI.
Dan Zailskas, Tyler
Albright and Chris Rouches
contributed a combined eight hits and eight RBI during the series,
while Marcus Way recorded his team leading fifth home run of the
year.
Strong pitching by sophomore lefty Brent Suter lead the
way for the Crimson in game one on Sunday. Suter went 6 innings,
striking out five and walking one, earning him his third victory of
the season (3-2, 5.27)
For the season, Jeff Reynolds (.358
) leads the team in batting, O'Hara (.331, 25 RBI) leads in RBI and
doubles with 14, and Way leads the Crimson with five home runs.
Albright and Sam
Franklin are both contributing fine seasons in all offensive
categories.
About Dartmouth
Posting an overall record of 21-13 (11-5), Dartmouth has placed
itself atop the Ivy standings. Over the week, the Big Green dropped
the Brown Bears three out of four times, outscoring them 37-25 and
giving itself a two-game lead in the division.
During the series, Chris O'Dowd, Jeff
Onstott, and Jason Brooks combined for 13 hits and produced 14 RBI.
Zack Bellenger had a fine series contributing a 3-for 3 performance
with two RBI and three runs scored in the finale.
O'Dowd leads the Big Green this season with a
.358 average. The majority of the power comes from the trio of
Ennis Coble (.314, 4 HR, 22 RBI), Brooks (.314, 4 HR, 29 RBI), and
Onstott (.308, 3 HR, 30 RBI)
On the mound, Dartmouth will likely throw
Robert Young (3-3, 4.47) and Ben Murray (3-4, 9.69). Young comes in
only allowing seven walks on the season while striking out 31 in
46.1 innings of work. Murray has started seven games this season
allowing 59 hits, 13 walks and striking out 15 in 39 innings.
The pitching duo of Cole Sulser and Kyle
Hendricks lead all Big Green pitching this year posting 45
strikeouts apiece. Sulser (6-0, 3.67) is primarily used as a relief
pitcher, while Hendricks (3-4, 5.40) is a starter.
