The women's hockey team welcomes seven newcomers in the
class of 2014 (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's ice
hockey team will welcome seven freshmen to its ranks for the
2010-11 season. The incoming class features four forwards, two
defensemen and a goalie and includes representatives from four
different states and provinces, including three Massachusetts
natives.
The class of 2014 will look to help the Crimson back to the NCAA
tournament after the team received an at-large bid in 2010. Harvard
finished the 2009-10 season ranked fourth in the nation and
advanced to the ECAC Hockey Tournament semifinals. The team also
earned its 13th Beanpot title in 2010, winning the tournament on
its home ice.
“We are looking forward to the arrival of our freshmen
class,” said Katey Stone, The Landry Family Head Coach for
Harvard Women's Ice Hockey. “They bring great energy
and desire, which will be a perfect match for our veterans.”

#13 Kalley Armstrong, forward, 5-10, shoots: R, Maple,
Ont./St. Joan of Arc
Competed in softball, soccer, volleyball, ice hockey and
track and field during high school career at St. Joan of Arc and
St. Elizabeth … Captained the Toronto Junior Aeros club team
during the 2009-10 season and led them to Junior Provincial and
PWHL League Championships … Named High School Athlete of the
Year in 2007.
#18 Lyndsey Fry, forward, 5-8, shoots: R, Chandler,
Ariz./Arizona Connections Academy
Attended Corona Del Sol High School for two years before
finishing at Arizona Connections Academy … Served as captain
of four teams in the Chandler Polar Bears youth system before
captaining the Colorado Select U19 AAA team in 2010 … Named
team MVP of Chandler Jr. Polar Bears in 2004 and '06 …
Earned a bronze medal in 2008 with the USA Hockey U16 AAA squad and
again in 2009 and '10 with the U19 team … Four-year
participant in USA Hockey development camps … Helped the
U.S. National Under-18 team win a gold medal at the world
championships in 2009 and a silver medal in 2010 … Named to
the USA Hockey development camp All-Star team in 2008 and '09

Played field hockey, ice hockey and softball at Noble and
Greenough and captained field hockey and ice hockey as a senior and
softball as a sophomore, junior and senior … Received
All-Independent School League (ISL) honors in softball (2007,
'09), ice hockey (2008, '09, '10) and field
hockey (honorable mention 2010) … 2010 Boston Bruins John
Carlton Award recipient … Helped field hockey team to ISL
