CLINTON, N.Y. - The No. 6 Harvard men's
squash team earned its second victory of the weekend as the Crimson
defeated No. 21 Hamilton, 9-0. All nine matches where decided by
3-0 scores in Harvard's favor.
Alexander Ma, playing in the No. 8 spot, gave up only seven
points to Mark Clark, including keeping Clark off the scoreboard in
the first set, 11-0, 11-4, 11-3.
Four other Crimson student-athletes registered sets in which
their opponent lit up the scoreboard only once. Zeke Scherl, Thomas
Mullaney and William Ahmed each accomplished the feat in the second
sets of their respective matches. Scherl downed Ronald German 11-5,
11-1, 11-2, Mullaney took down Tim Gray, 11-6, 11-1, 11-2 and
William Ahmed eliminated Lyman Munschauer, 11-7, 11-1, 11-3. J.
Reed Endresen blew through Harry Keeshan, 11-4, 11-6, 11-1.
Gary Power secured another victory at the No. 1 spot for the
Crimson, rolling through Martin Bawden, 11-6, 11-8, 11-7.
Ivy League competition awaits the Crimson as it will head to
Penn and Princeton Feb. 5 and 6, respectively.
