CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 1 Harvard
women's squash team kept its perfect record intact, downing
No. 4 Princeton, 7-2. No. 3 Trinity and No. 2 Yale separate the
Crimson from an undefeated season and the Ivy League Crown.
Laura Gemmell remained perfect, winning the No. 1 match over
Julie Cerullo, 11-1, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6. Princeton would win the No.
2 and 3 matches, but the Crimson would take the final six
matches.
June Tiong captured a five-set victory over Alexis Saunders,
9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 9-11, 11-4. Natasha Kingshott (No. 5), Cece
Cortes (No. 6) and Sarah Mumanachit (No. 7) would take the next
three matches in straight sets.
Bethan Williams picked up a four-set win for the Crimson in the
No. 8 spot and Alexandra Zindman notched a straight-set victory in
the No. 9 match.
Harvard will host Trinity (Feb. 9) and Yale (Feb. 12) to wrap up
the regular season.
