CALGARY, Alta. – Harvard women's hockey
defender Sarah
Edney is one of 13 players selected to join the 27 centralized
with Canada's National Women's Team for Canada's National Women's
Program Red-White Series, Aug. 21-24 at the Markin MacPhail Centre
at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
The 40 players will be split into two teams for the three-game
Red-White series: Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. ET, Thursday, Aug.
22 at 9 p.m. ET and Saturday, Aug. 24 at 12 noon ET.
Named to the All-ECAC third team last season, Edney played in 32
games with three goals and 18 assists. She helped Canada's
Development team to gold at the 2013 Meco Cup in Füssen,
Germany.
Following Canada's National Women's Program Red-White Series,
Hockey Canada scouts, along with Canada's National Women's
Development Team coaching staff, will continue to evaluate players
with their club teams during the 2013-14 season.
