USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Preseason Poll
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Buzz continues to build around the Harvard men's hockey team, as the Crimson was ranked fifth in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Preseason Poll released Oct. 5. The ranking is the highest ever for the Crimson in a preseason poll.
Harvard's highest prior ranking in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine preseason poll came at the start of the 2003-04 season when it was slotted sixth. The Crimson's highest ranking ever in a USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll came last season on Jan. 5 at No. 3.

Harvard received 348 votes in the poll, with Boston College leading the way with 469 total votes and 18 first-place rankings. Boston University enters the year ranked No. 2, with Minnesota Duluth and North Dakota coming in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. The only other ECAC Hockey team in the poll is Yale at No. 12.

Harvard will open its season in just over a month on Halloween, traveling to Hanover, New Hampshire to take on Dartmouth. The Crimson will play its first home game the following night, Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center at 7 p.m. against the Big Green.
