Women's Squash Welcomes Class of 2019

Head Coach Mike Way is set to welcome the class of 2019 (Athletic Communications.)

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Head coach Mike Way and the women's squash team are ready to welcome three incoming freshmen for the 2015-16 season.

The class of 2019 will join a squad that captured its 15th National Championship last season.

The Class of 2019:

Kayley Leonard | Harrison, N.Y. | Greenwich Academy

2015 Greenwich Academy Squash MVP and team captain … FAA All-League Squash all four years … 2015 U.S. Squash Derov Sportsmanship Award … Competed on the U.S. Junior National Squash Team for three years … Won seven U.S. Squash JCTs … 2015 Girls U19 U.S. Junior Open finalist … Volunteered and tutored at City Squash … 2014 National Scholastic Gold Key Award Winner for Digital Photography … Father, Brian, captained the Providence College tennis team … Enjoys photography, ping-pong, going to the beach and hanging out with friends.

Sophie Mehta | Toronto, Ontario | Branksome Hall

Three-time Canadian Junior National champion … 2015 Canadian Junior National finalist … six-time Provincial champion … Gold Medalist on Team Ontario at 2015 Canada Winter Games … 2015 Conference Chair at the World Affairs Conference ... Involved with Branksome's Best Buddies Program from 2011-15 … Enjoys traveling and reading … Sister, Alyssa, is on Harvard's women's squash team.

Sabrina Sobhy | Sea Cliff, N.Y. | North Shore

2012-15 Scholar Athlete at North Shore High School … 2014 Women's National Champion … Youngest person to ever win the U.S. Women's Nationals in 2014 … 2012-14 U.S. Junior National champion … 2013 Mercedes of Scottsdale Tournament champion …2012 William T. Hetcham Award winner …  Sister, Amanda, was a four-time national champion on the Harvard women's squash team.
