Four individual and five relay squads invited to 2018 NCAA Championships (Gavin Baker).

INDIANAPOLIS – Four individuals and all five relay teams from No. 24 Harvard men's swimming and diving have been invited to compete in the NCAA Championships announced by the Division I selection on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Dean Farris, who earned All-America honors at last year's championship, qualified in the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke.  The Atlanta native secured his spot in the championship, posting the nation's best time in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:31.12 at the Ivy League Championship meet. Additionally, Farris also holds the second-best time in the country in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:38.99 at Ivy League meet. 

Junior Brennan Novak will join Farris for the second straight year, qualifying in the 500- and 1650-yard freestyles. Novak was crowned Ivy League champion in both events, and is currently eighth in the 500 freestyle with a Harvard record time of 4:13.34.

Fellow junior Logan Houck joins Novak in the 500 and 1650 freestyles, after qualifying with times of 4:16.08 and 14:47.39, respectively. Senior Steven Tan rounds out the Crimson individuals, posting the 25th-fastest time in the 100-yard butterfly this season.

All five relay squads were invited to compete as well.

The championships will be held on March 21-24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
