CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A back-and-forth affair ended with No. 9/12 Harvard men's ice hockey (6-4-0, 6-2-0 ECAC Hockey) falling 4-3 in overtime to Colgate (7-7-4, 5-2-1 ECAC Hockey).

Nick Abruzzese, Jack Donato, and Reilly Walsh scored for Harvard, with Walsh helping to send the game to overtime with his third period score. First-year goaltender Mitchell Gibson made 24 saves for the Crimson, while Andrew Farrier stopped 30 shots for Colgate.

Ben Sharf scored the game-winning goal for the Raiders at 3:40 of the extra frame.

Harvard had several great scoring chances in the opening 20 minutes but Farrier was up to the task for Colgate, stopping point blank opportunities for Abruzzese and sophomore forward Jack Drury in the first period.

The Raiders struck first as Colton Young tipped a shot from the point past Gibson at 6:56  of the second period to make it 1-0 Colgate.

Later in the period, Harvard scored twice in a span of less than three minutes to take its first lead of the night. Abruzzese potted a power play goal off a feed from sophomore defenseman Jack Rathbone at 14:32.

Just a few minutes later, junior forward Jack Donato forced a turnover and cut in alone on a breakaway, beating Farrier at 17:17 to make it 2-1.

But Colgate's Tyler Penner responded with a goal on the next shift at 17:59 to tie the game, and then Bobby McMann added a goal at 10:08 of the third period to make it 3-2.

Walsh helped send the game to overtime with his one-timer at 11:57 to tie the game.

Harvard had a power play to start the extra frame, but could not score, and Sharf won it for Colgate moments later.

- Junior defenseman Reilly Walsh (goal) has points in eight straight games. First-year forward scored in both games this weekend and leads all Harvard first-years with 12 points (four goals, eight assists).
