PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 3 Harvard women's squash team (7-0, 5-0 Ivy) breezed to a 9-0 victory Sunday against No. 5 Penn to close out its road trip.
Senior Sabrina Sobhy continued her success as the team's No. 1 with a 9-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-5 victory against Reeham Sedky. Junior Amelia Henley served as the team's No. 3 and took down Jamlia Tamer, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8. Classmate Gina Kennedy was the team's No. 2 and took down Jessica Davis by a score of 13-11, 12-10, 11-5.
At the No. 8 position, senior Sophie Mehta made quick work of Nicole Windreich, 11-1, 11-1, 11-4. Rounding out the leaderboard at the No. 9 position, sophomore Maddie Chai dominated with a 11-3, 11-4, 11-3 win against Margaret Frantz.
Harvard Highlights:
- The Crimson extend its unbeaten streak to 59 games, dating back to the 2014-15 season (Jan. 12).
- Harvard adds to its all-time program record against Penn, 47-7.
- Sobhy remains untouched at the team's top spot, earning her seventh-straight win.
- First-years Amina Yousry and Hana Moataz both contributed to the win with 3-0 victories of their own.
