RV/RV Women's Hockey Drops OT Decision in Game Two

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The RV/RV Harvard women's hockey team (17-13-1, 15-6-1 ECAC Hockey) dropped a 4-3 OT decision to RV Yale (17-14-0. 13-9-0 ECAC Hockey) on Saturday afternoon at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. The Crimson will now need to win Game Three, to be played on Sunday, in order to advance to ECAC Hockey Championship Weekend.

Harvard cracked the scoreboard first at 3:23 of the opening frame when Becca Gilmore scored her third of the series when the Crimson was on the power-play. Yale was able to even the score after its goal went under a lengthy review at 9:36. The Bulldogs took their first lead of the series less than two minutes later on a wrister from just inside the left circle.

Harvard responded in the second, taking a 3-2 lead off the sticks of Maryna Macdonald and Anne Bloomer. Early in the third, Yale would make its case for OT just 2:32 into the frame. The Bulldogs would go on to score at 6:54 of overtime to secure a tie-breaking contest on Sunday.
