CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Cheer's Class of 2020 was recently recognized by Varsity.com for their efforts in the website's NCA College Senior Spotlight. This year's graduating class features Amanda Flores, Michelle Wang and Sydney Record.
Over the course of their four years, they helped Harvard post a pair of top-10 finishes at NCA Nationals (6th place, 7th place) and capture the 2017 New England Cheerleaders Association (NECA) championship.
Coach Beth Blazonis said this of Flores, one of her two co-captains: "As a coach, I have come to admire Amanda's leadership qualities that she so effortlessly displays to her teammates, the Harvard University community, parents and administration."
Blazonis on Wang, who served as the Crimson's other team captain: "As captain, Michelle truly was a leader that ran headfirst into the unknown every practice, every game, every setback, always believing she worked for her team, never settling for average."
As for Record, Blazonis said, "Sydney is my MVP, as she was always willing to do what was best for her team."
