Derek Mullahy's 23 saves helped No. 6/10 Harvard men's ice hockey (4-2-1, 3-1-1 ECAC Hockey) earn two points at St. Lawrence (2-3-4, 1-1-2 ECAC Hockey) with a shootout win (1-1 regulation tie) at Appleton Arena.
Senior forward
Baker Shore scored at 4:53 of the first period to give Harvard an early lead, as he crashed the net to put in a rebound of an
Austin Wong shot, putting the Crimson up 1-0.
But the Saints scored late in the second period (15:54), as Will Arquiett's goal set up a frantic third period and overtime.
Harvard had two power plays in the final five minutes of regulation and into the extra frame but could not convert, sending the game to a shootout.
Mullahy made two fantastic saves in the shootout, the first on St. Lawrence's opening attempt, a sprawling blocker stop on Kaden Pickering's backhander.. That was followed by senior captain
Casey Dornbach's goal, setting up another acrobatic save on St. Lawrence's David Jankowski, a left skate blade stop at the near post.
In the third round, Farrell won it for Harvard, beating St. Lawrence goaltender Emil Zetterquist between the pads to help Harvard earn the extra ECAC Hockey point.

- Baker Shore's goal helped Harvard score first for the sixth time in seven games thus far this season.
- In two starts this season against Colgate and St. Lawrence, sophomore goaltender Derek Mullahy has made 46 saves on 48 shots.
Game Notes
- Harvard played its first shootout of any kind since Dec. 22, 2004 (vs. Northern Michigan), and earned its first ever ECAC Hockey shootout win.
- Harvard moved atop the ECAC Hockey standings with 11 points and is 3-1-1 in its first five league games.
