CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard football landed 12 players on Phil Steele's 2021 All-Ivy League preseason team. The Crimson had five players on the all-conference first team, four on the second team and three selected to the third team.

Spencer Rolland (Burnsville, Minn.), junior defensive linemen
Truman Jones (Atlanta, Ga.) and
Anthony Nelson (Tampa, Fla.), senior linebacker
Jordan Hill (Silver Spring, Md.) and junior punter
Jon Sot (Clark, N.J.).

The second-team selections featured junior running back
Aaron Shampklin (Paramount, Calif.), as well as three seniors including running back
B.J. Watson (Baltimore, Md.), defensive lineman
Nasir Darnell (Matawan, N.J.) and defensive back
Max Jones (Delmar, N.Y.).

Harvard's third-team selections were senior linebacker
Andrew Irwin (Altoona, Penn.), junior defensive lineman
Chris Smith (Detroit, Mich.) and junior offensive lineman
Hunt Sparks (Norman, Okla.).

Harvard opens the season this Saturday, Sept. 18, at 12:30 p.m. ET when it travels to Washington, D.C., for a matchup against Georgetown. The game will air on ESPN+.
