Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass- The Harvard football team (2-0, 1-0 Ivy) beat Brown (0-2, 0-1 Ivy), 49-17 in its home and conference opener Friday night at Harvard Stadium in front of a crowd of 20,748 fans.
With the victory,
Tim Murphy, The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football, passes Yale's Carm Cozza for the most wins at an Ivy League school with 180.

Sone Ntoh found the end zone twice to lead Harvard. The Crimson defense was ignited by a 13-yard scoop and score from senior
Justin Mitchell and a 77-yard interception return by sophomore

An early fumble recovery by senior
Andrew Irwin set the Crimson up with a first and goal which saw junior
Aaron Shampklin rush in from four yards out at 11:31. That was all for the scoring in the first quarter and Harvard took a 7-0 lead into the break.
Early in the second quarter, sophomore quarterback
Charlie Dean hit junior
Kym Wimberly for a 44-yard touchdown strike to extend the lead to 14-0. Following a Bears three and out, Shampklin rushed in another from two yards out at 8:31 on a fourth and goal. Brown was able to drive the ball inside the Crimson 10-yard line before sophomore
Khalil Dawsey intercepted Brown quarterback EJ Perry for 77 yards and took it down to the Bears 17. Sophomore
Aidan Borguet rushed in from nine yards out to give Harvard a 28-0 lead with 3:09 left in the half.
Less than two minutes later, following a Brown turnover on downs, sophomore
Sone Ntoh became the third different Crimson running back to find the end zone with an eight-yard score. On the next play from scrimmage, a
Thor Griffith strip sack led to a 13-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by
Justin Mitchell. Harvard totaled five touchdowns in the third quarter and took a 42-0 lead into halftime.
After a Brown field goal, Ntoh plunged into the end zone for his second touchdown of the game, extending the Harvard lead to 49-3 late in the third quarter. The Bears were able to find the end zone twice in the fourth quarter and Harvard took its Ivy League opener by a score of 49-17.
"We've had an unbelievable amount of great players, an unbelievable amount of assistant coaches. That's not my record, that's our record" said Murphy following the win. "Every single football player, every single assistant coach who ever took the field- that's their record too."
