Five Former Harvard Football Players on Initial 2021 NFL Rosters

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The National Football League is set to open this week and five former Harvard football players find themselves on the active 53-man rosters of five different franchises.
 
The Crimson lead all Ivy League schools for most alums on active NFL rosters. No other school in the league has more than one (Brown, Cornell, Penn, Princeton, Yale). At the FCS level, Harvard is tied for second with North Dakota State, trailing only Delaware's six former players.
 
Leading the Harvard contingent on the professional gridiron is Super Bowl LV champion Cameron Brate '14, who will look to help the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defend their title. Other Crimson alumni include Anthony Firkser '17 (Tennessee), Ryan Fitzpatrick '05 (Washington), Kyle Juszczyk '13 (San Francisco) and Tyler Ott '14 (Seattle).

Cameron Brate '14, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tight End
Entering his eighth career season, all of which has been spent with Tampa Bay… Has 98 career games under his belt and played in all 16 regular-season games four straight years… Totaled 223 career receptions for 2,438 yards and 29 touchdowns.
 
Anthony Firkser '17, Tennessee Titans, Tight End
Set to start his fourth professional season, all with the Titans… Seen action in 43 career games, including all 16 during the 2020 regular season… Has 72 receptions, 816 yards and three touchdowns to his credit… Set career highs in '20 with 39 catches and 387 yards… Helped Tennessee win the AFC South in 2020.
 
Ryan Fitzpatrick '05, Washington Football Team, Quarterback
Beginning his 17th NFL season (165 career games) and first with Washington after spending the previous two with Miami… Has 3,069 career completions for 34,977 yards and 223 touchdowns… Completed 60.7 percent of his pass attempts in his career… Has also rushed for 2,623 career yards and 21 TDs.
 
Kyle Juszczyk '13, San Francisco 49ers, Tight End
Entering his ninth season and fifth with San Francisco… Has played in 16 regular-season games six times, including the 2020 campaign… Played 122 career games… Rushed for a career-high 64 yards and two TDs in 2020, and has 157 yards and three touchdowns in his career… Totaled 1,849 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns in his career on 199 receptions… Starter in the 2020 Pro Bowl.
 
Tyler Ott '14, Seattle Seahawks, Long Snapper
Embarking on his seventh season and sixth in Seattle… Has played in all 16 regular-season games four straight years… Appeared in 68 career games… Guided Seattle to the 2020 NFC West title… Named a 2020 NFL Pro Bowl starter.
