Mike Way Captures 150th Win as No. 1 Women’s Squash Downs No. 7 Drexel, 7-2

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – No. 1 Harvard (6-0, 4-0 Ivy) notched its third top-10 win in four days as the Crimson upended No. 7 Drexel (7-3) on Tuesday at Kline & Specter Squash Center by a score of 8-1. 
 
It was the 89th consecutive win for the program, a CSA women's record, and also the 150th win for the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University, Mike Way.
 
The win comes after the Crimson beat both No. 9 Penn and No. 3 Princeton this past weekend. Harvard has now won 89 matches in a row, a CSA women's record. 
 
Harvard jumped out to a 3-0 lead early with wins by Hana Moataz, Evie Coxon and Habiba Eldafrawy. After Drexel's Lydia Robinson got the first point of the day for the Dragons, Harvard's Grace Steelman, Marina Stefanoni and Serena Daniel put the match out of reach with three more points for the visitors.

  • The win was number 150 at the helm of the women's program for Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University. Way is the winningest coach in Harvard women's squash history.  
  • Harvard has now won 89 matches in a row dating back to 2015. 
  • Marina Stefanoni, Serena Daniel and Grace Steelman all earned sweeps for the Crimson. 
  • Habiba Eldafrawy is now 6-0 on the year individually. 
  • Harvard moves to 4-0 against Drexel all-time.
