CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's swimming and diving continued its Ivy League schedule on Friday and defeated Columbia at Blodgett Pool, 191-106. With the victory, the Crimson moved to 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Ivy League. The Lions, meanwhile, dropped to 1-2 (1-2 Ivy).
The Crimson won 12 events on the day, helping it improve to 36-1 all-time vs. Columbia. Harvard has now won eight straight meets against the Lions.
Harvard Highlights
- The quartet of Anya Mostek, Victoria Eisenhauer, Addie Rose Bullock and Darlene Fung posted a season-best 200-medley relay time of 1:41.53, to finish in first place.
- Mostek also posted the team's fastest 100 free performance of the campaign (50.10) en route to victory. She also won the 200 free in 1:49.32, with Erin Cavanagh coming in second (1:53.86).
- Abby Carr was a two-time winner, taking first in the 200 fly (2:03.98) and leading a 1-2 punch in the 100 fly with Bullock. Carr posted a 100-fly time of 55.89, with Bullock clocking in a 56.33.
- Molly Hamlin was victorious in the 100 and 200 back, posting times of 56.44 and 1:59.59, respectively. Hamlin edged Samantha Shelton in the 200 back (1:59.59-1:59.75).
- Nina Janmyr posted the top diving scores in both the 1- and 3-meter competitions. The first-year recorded a score of 290.33 on the 1-meter board and had a winning score of 321.60 on the 3-meter board.
- Darlene Fung had a season-best 50-free time of 23.33, propelling her to the top of the leaderboard.
- Grace Yoon won the 500 free in 5:06.92, and the Harvard 200 free relay team (Mostek, Maddy Brenner, Fung, Hamlin) followed suit, winning its race in 1:33.08.
