CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Monday for the week ending on Feb. 13, naming Harvard's
Becca Gilmore the Driscoll Skating & Skills Player of the Week and the Crimson's
Mia Biotti Rookie of the Week.
Both Gilmore and Biotti shined during Harvard's victory in the Women's Beanpot Championship last Tuesday vs. Boston College, the program's 15th Beanpot title all-time. Gilmore totaled three points in the contest, including the game-winning goal with less than four minutes to play in the third period, on her way to earning tournament MVP. Biotti, for her part, scored the first goal of her collegiate career early in the third period while also adding an assist in the win.
The pair continued its production during Harvard's two-game ECAC Hockey set over the weekend. Gilmore scored a goal in each contest and pitched in an assist during the Crimson's 2-0 win over Princeton. Meanwhile, Biotti recorded her 13th assist of the year on Harvard's lone goal in a 2-1 loss vs. Quinnipiac.
Gilmore is Harvard's third skater to earn Player of the Week honors this season, joining
Keely Moy and
Kristin Della Rovere, while Biotti is the team's second Rookie of the Week, alongside
Taze Thompson.
