No. 16 Men’s Tennis Sweeps Brown, Advances to Second Round of ECAC Tournament

ITHACA, N.Y. - Dominating in its first Ivy League dual match of the season, the Harvard men's tennis team defeated Brown today, Feb. 18, in the first round of the ECAC tournament. The top-seeded Crimson took down the Bears 4-0, and will move on to face fifth-seeded Princeton tomorrow, Feb. 19, at noon ET.

Kicking the match off with doubles, the Crimson started off fast, taking the first-position match, 6-2. Despite dropping the third-position match, 6-3, Harvard rallied to take both the second-position match and the doubles point.

The Crimson carried that momentum into singles, sweeping through its Brown opponents with ease. Harvard captured wins in the fourth-, fifth- and second-position matches in quick succession, securing the 4-0 victory over its Ivy League rival.
