What to Know

  • Harvard's road games with Colgate and Cornell were originally slated for Jan. 7-8, but were postponed due to COVID-19 concerns and safety protocols within the Harvard program.
  • This will be the second meeting this season for Harvard against both the Raiders and Big Red. Harvard defeated Cornell, 4-1, in October, snapping a 10-game winless drought vs. the program. The Crimson fell in overtime to Colgate, 4-5, on Oct. 30 in what was a thrilling, goal-filled affair.
  • Anne Bloomer has scored nine goals in her last six games, and now leads all of Division I with 0.81 goals per game on average. The junior has scored multiple goals in three of Harvard's last five games, including two apiece in the last two.
  • Senior goaltender Becky Dutton earned MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month honors from the ECAC for her performance during the month of January. Dutton has won a career-best seven straight games in goal, a stretch during which she is surrendering just 1.00 goals per game.
  • Harvard has won its last three games against ranked opponents (No. 8/9 Yale, No. 4/4 Quinnipiac and No. 10/10 Clarkson), and will go for a fourth consecutive ranked win against No. 7/8 Colgate on Friday.
  • With a win at Cornell on Saturday Harvard can clinch its first Ivy League title since 2015. The Crimson is 7-1-0 in Ivy play thus far this season.
  • The Harvard penalty-kill unit has stopped the last 15 power-plays from the opposition, and has not surrendered a power-play goal over the last five games. The Crimson penalty-kill is up to a 89.3 percent success rate for the season.
  • Colgate enters Friday 7-3-0 in its last 10 games. Danielle Serdachny (37) and Kalty Kaltounkova (36) rank second and third in points in ECAC Hockey, respectively.
  • A resurgent Cornell has crept its way up the ECAC Hockey standings, going 5-2-1 in its last eight. Goaltender Lindsay Browning is tied for second in the nation with six shutouts on the year.
  • The Crimson is featured in both national polls this week, coming in at No. 6 in the USCHO rankings and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. It is the ninth week this season in which Harvard appears inside the top 10 in both national polls.
  • Harvard leads Colgate in the all-time series, 31-14-3 but is just 2-10-1 against the Raiders since 2016-17.
  • The Crimson holds a 57-34-6 advantage vs. Cornell all-time.
