ATLANTA, Ga. – No. 19 Harvard University men's swimming and diving tallied two more top-16 finishes on the fourth and final day of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center to finish in 13
th place in the final team standings.

Marcus Holmquist, and senior
Raphael Marcoux placed ninth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a school record time of 2:48.24 while Farris finished ninth in the 100-yard freestyle in his final individual event of his collegiate career.
Over the course of the four days at the championships, the Crimson tallied nine top-16 finishes – including in all five relays – with two of those finishes placing in the top eight (100 fly, 100 back). Harvard's other top-16 finishes included the 200 medley relay, 800 free relay, 1-meter diving, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay, 100 free, and 400 free relay.
The Crimson set five school records over the championships including in four relays as the team established new marks in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 100 fly, 400 medley relay, and 400 free relay.
Farris concluded his career with 23 All-America awards, including seven honors at the 2022 championships as he contributed to all five top-16 relay finishes and added a pair of top-16 individual finishes.
Marcoux closed his career with eight All-America honors, including three in 2022, and Reihman collected five All-America accolades, including three in 2022. Junior

Harvard came in 13
th place in the team standings with 103 points, ranking as the top school from a non-Power Five conference. The Crimson has finished in the top 20 at each of the last three NCAA meets at which it has competed.
Harvard Highlights
- In his final individual event at the NCAA Championships, senior Dean Farris won the consolation final of the 100-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 41.42, earning nine time points. He took third in heat six in the prelims for 12th overall in the heats with a time of 41.68. Farris gained All-America honors in the event for the second time (2019).
- The quartet of senior Mahlon Reihman, senior Dean Farris, sophomore Marcus Holmquist, and senior Raphael Marcoux set a school record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:48.24. The group eclipsed the previous record of 2:49.85, finished second in its heat, and placed ninth overall – coming within 0.03 seconds of eighth place. The finish earned the Crimson 18 team points. Farris and Marcoux both garnered All-America in the event for the second time (2019).
- Competing in the 1,650-yard freestyle, first-year Shane Washart came in 22nd in 14:58.80, and first-year Arik Katz finished 25th in 15:03.93 out of a field of 33 swimmers.
- In the prelims of the 200-yard butterfly, senior Jake Johnson clocked a 1:46.41, coming in 36th place overall.
