WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – Harvard women's ice hockey alums Jillian Dempsey '13 and Mary Parker '15 were crowned PHF champions on Monday (March 28) night as the Boston Pride defeated the Connecticut Whale, 4-2, at AdventHealth Center Ice to win its second straight Isobel Cup.
Both Dempsey (1G, 1A) and Parker (2A) registered two points in the championship game, which saw the Pride rally from a 2-1 deficit to claim the title.
Dempsey, the Pride's captain, has been a member of the team since its inaugural season in 2015-16 and has now won a total of three championships with the organization. The 2021-22 season marks Parker's sixth season with the club.
At Harvard, Dempsey ranks ninth all-time in career points with 148 on 76 goals and 72 assists. She was a two-time nominee for the Patty Kazmaier award and was twice selected as a member of ECAC Hockey's First-Team. Dempsey served as a co-captain for the Crimson during the 2012-13 season, leading Harvard to the finals of the ECAC Hockey Tournament and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Parker played with the Crimson from 2012-2015, tallying 43 goals and 48 assists. She was named Second Team All-ECAC Hockey and First-Team All-Ivy during her junior season in 2014-15 as Harvard won both the ECAC Hockey regular season and tournament titles before reaching the Championship game of the NCAA Tournament.
