No. 14 Men’s Tennis Shuts Down Brown, 7-0, Picks Up Seventh-Straight Win

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Remaining undefeated in Ivy League action, the No. 14 Harvard men's tennis team (17-4, 6-0 Ivy League) secured its seventh-straight win with a 7-0 shutout at Brown (9-14, 0-6 Ivy League) this afternoon. With the win, the Crimson moves to 17-4 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
 
Harvard secured the doubles point for the seventh time in its last eight matches. Despite falling on court three, the Crimson rallied to take two-straight on courts one and two for the point. Ronan Jachuck and Harris Walker grinded out a 7-5 win in the No. 2 spot, before Brian Shi and Daniel Milavsky won a thrilling 7-6 (2) battle in the No. 1 spot to give Harvard a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
David Lins stepped into the No. 6 spot and doubled the Crimson's advantage with a 6-3, 6-1 win. Building a 3-0 lead for Harvard, Henry von der Schulenburg picked up a 6-4, 6-0 victory on court one. Ronan Jachuck then sealed the match for the Crimson, dominating on court four, 6-3, 6-3.
 
Harvard went on to sweep singles play, securing wins in the No. 2, 3 and 5 spots as well. Brian Shi was next off the court with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 3 spot. Daniel Milavsky increased Harvard's advantage to 6-0 after a 4-6, 6-1, 10-5 battle on court five. Closing out the 7-0 victory for the Crimson, Harris Walker sealed a 6-4, 6-3 triumph in the No. 2 spot.

Harvard return home to close out its regular season and host Yale on Sunday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at the Beren Tennis Center. The match will be broadcast on Stretch and ESPN+ if moved indoors due to weather. Harvard will be competing for the Ivy League championship title.
