Lauren Scruggs Crowned Junior World Champion for Second Time in Her Career

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Harvard first-year Lauren Scruggs won her fourth career gold medal at the Junior World Championship this afternoon in Dubai.
 
For Scruggs, this is her sixth medal in the Junior World Championships across the individual and team competitions, with still another year of eligibility in the under 20 age group.
 
Throughout the tournament, Scruggs did not allow a single opponent to reach double digits.
 
In the gold medal bout, the first-year jumped out to a 9-0 lead on her way to a dominating 15-3 victory.
 
The team competition will be on Thursday, April 5.
