Jessica Zi Jia Guo became a two-time NCAA Women's Foil National Champion, as the Toronto native becomes the first foil fencer in the history of Harvard fencing to win multiple-time national titles. The only other Harvard women's fencer to win multiple titles was
Adrienne Jarocki '17 who won three consecutive NCAA titles in women's saber.
Eli Dershwitz '19 remains the only men's fencer to achieve multiple NCAA titles.
Guo dominated the field in her run to the national title, ending five rounds of pool action with an impressive 20-3 record and a +54 indicator. In the national semifinals, Guo quickly dispatched Columbia's Zander Rhodes, moving onto her third straight appearance in the national championship bout. Facing off against Carolina Stuchbury, Guo faced an early 4-2 deficit. From there, Guo controlled the tempo and excelled, utilizing a 13-2 run to secure her second NCAA national championship.
As a team, Harvard women's fencing shined at the 2026 NCAA Championships in South Bend, Indiana, as the Crimson captured fourth place in the team standings behind stellar and impressive performances from five student-athletes across two days of compelling competition. This season marks the first year the NCAA has sponsored a separate national championship for women's fencing. Lucia Zhang also earned All-America First Team honors in women's foil action, finishing in a tie for third with a 18-5 record and a +44 indicator in her NCAA Championships debut. Yasmine Khamis finished 12
th place with a 11 victories in women's epee action, while fellow classmate
Madison Duckett ended two days of women's saber fencing in 11
th place with 11 wins as well.
Junior
Kaitlyn Pak secured a spot in the top 15 in the women's saber tournament, despite suffering an injury in the middle of day one, after tallying nine victories.
