Henry von der Schulenburg fell to No. 3 Adam Walton (Tennessee) today in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championships.
Von der Schulenburg put up a battle, narrowly falling 7-6 in the first set to the No. 3-ranked player in the nation. Walton went on to defeat von der Schulenburg in the second set, 6-3, to seal his victory.
Advancing to the round of 16, von der Schulenburg earned All-American status. It is the first honor of his career and he is the first Crimson player to receive the accolade since Denis Nguyen '15 in 2014.
Von der Schulenburg finished the 2021-22 season with a 27-9 overall singles record and 14-6 record in dual play this spring, primarily at the No. 1 position for the Crimson.
