Men’s Squash to Battle Trinity in Second Match of the Weekend

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In what will be their second top-ten matchup of the weekend, No. 1 Harvard Men's Squash (6-0, 3-0 Ivy) welcomes No. 6 Trinity College (9-0, 5-0 NESCAC) to the Murr Squash Center.  The match will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday January 14. 

What to know

  • The Crimson are currently riding a six-match win streak to open the 2022-23 season.  Harvard has a remarkable 50-3 record against its opponents. 
  • In their last time out, the Crimson downed conference foe No. 4 Yale, 7-2, handing their opponent its first loss of the season.
  • Senior co-captain George Crowne has been unstoppable in his final campaign with the Crimson.  Crowne is 6-0 at the No. 2 and 3 positions, including registering the only 3-0 result last night. 
  • Harvard narrowly leads the all-time series against Trinity 33-30, including having won the last four contests.  The last time these two met, the Crimson bested the Bantams 8-1 in the 2021-22 season. 

Next up

The Crimson will return to action next weekend with a pair top five matchups for their first weekend back-to-back of the season.  Harvard is set for a battle in both contests as they face No. 3 Princeton and No. 2 Penn on January 21 and 22, respectively.  The three Ivy League teams make up the top three on the men's half of college squash.
