CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior goaltender
Derek Mullahy was named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week, the conference announced today (Jan. 16).
Making his first starts in net in two months, Mullahy was phenomenal in wins against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
On Friday night against Clarkson, Mullahy stopped 25 of 26 shots to help Harvard earn a 4-1 win over the Golden Knights at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. The following night against St. Lawrence, Mullahy recorded his first career shutout, stopping all 23 shots faced to help the Crimson complete the weekend sweep with a 5-0 win over the Saints.
In four starts on the year, Mullahy is 4-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average, and a .956 save percentage.
